Jeremiah is given a prophecy from the Lord of a coming day when God is going to do something new. He's going to write a new covenant between himself and his people. AND he's going to make something new of the people. That old covenant that Israel was forever failing to live by, would be lived out, by his son. And that perfect life of love that he lived, would qualify him for the death that he would die, as the spotless Lamb of God, a perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world. God's one and only son came to us, because of God's great love for the world. And he lived a life of love among us, in perfect obedience to His father, never wavering in that love. He obeyed all the way to the cross, reconciling us to himself by his death, as all died in Adam, so all were made alive in Christ, no longer burdened by the old heart of Adam, God has made new hearts in the children of Adam, hearts that desire, love, and fellowship with the Son, and the Father, in the spirit. He gave us new hearts. So we might live new lives. Jeremiah says, but this is the new covenant I'll make with the people of Israel after those days, says the Lord, I'll put my instructions deep within them, and I'll write them on their hearts, I will be their God, and they will be my people. He has made a way for you and I, the broken, the exhausted the rebellious exiles of God, to come home to God. And he has done it all. And he has done it for all. We know how much God loves us. And we have put our trust in His love. God is love. And all who live in Love Live in God, and God lives in them, says, John, God lives in you. As you live in God and trust him and participate with him. He will cause your love to grow more perfect, you can begin to live a life free of fear and condemnation, free of haunting shame and guilt. Because God in His love has made you new. Wake up to the love that is made all of this. See a new covenant a new heart, a new person and a new hope. Because of him. And the prayer of my own heart today is that I will live in this good news, that I'll live in love, that I'll participate with God, that more and more of my life will be free of fear, condemnation, shame and guilt. And that all offer this good news to this world, that he loves so much. That's the prayer that I have for my own soul. That's the prayer that I have for my family for my wife and my daughters and my son. And that's a prayer that I have for you may be so.
You are loved!
