Daily Radio Bible - August 28th, 21

Do you want to know where Jesus Is? He standing and walking among the seven gold lampstands. What are these lampstands?  John tells us that the lampstands are the seven churches. Jesus is standing among the gathering of his people. Seven is the number of completion and wholeness in the Bible. And Jesus is standing with all of his people. That's where you'll find him even when those people are a mess. Our God stands with us, even when our lives are a mess, and don't make sense. John wants us to know where we will find Jesus. Well, you'll find him where you would expect to find him. In the midst of his people, it's not a building I'm talking about. He's standing among those who have gathered in his name. Those he's drawn to himself, those who come together to follow him. That's where you'll find him. John says over and over again, that we the Church must have ears to hear and listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches. Let's look to him daily as we gather around the word. May we find him, even here with us in our complicated, messy lives, as we are training our ears to hear him, and as we gathered together, so that we can receive His loving warnings, corrections and even his commendations. We can find comfort, strength, protection and joy in his presence. As we come to his word with his people, we don't need to look too far to find him. He's right here, where you would expect him. May we all have ears to hear. And that's the prayer that I have for my own soul. That's the prayer that I have for my family for my wife, and my daughters and my son. And that's a prayer that I have for you. May it be so
