Daily Radio Bible - October 21st, 21

Living in grace, in a grace resistant world, the beautiful message of Barnabas and Paul is God's grace through Christ. All people, Jew and Gentile alike, have been invited, included into the triune  life of God. This grace, in real life doesn't come through obedience to the law, personal piety, virtue, it simply comes through Christ. what he has done. 

God's Messiah has offered himself on the cross as an answer to the problem of sin and death. And then he gives us His Spirit, that we might have his power to live this life now. The Holy Spirit living in you, this powerful message of grace, has real power to transform your life, my life, the life of every human being.  As powerful good and gracious as this message is it meets resistance, because  other powers and other messages that govern human life. But these are radically overturned by the message of Christ. In our own human sovereignty, if you will, we end up colluding with the world's lesser powers to survive in this broken world. But we survive as slaves when we do.   

Once we are truly set free by the powerful message of grace and life in Christ, our inclusion into the life of Christ, we're set free, our eyes are opened to who he is, and who we are in him. and we are given power to live this life now in him. But make no mistake about it. This grace will be met with resistance. Acts 14:22 says, They encourage them to continue in faith, reminding them that we must suffer many hardships to enter the kingdom of God. This is a grace resistant world, but it's only grace, the grace of Christ His life, that will change it. It's only grace that will transform you and me. It's only him.

Are you meeting resistance. Don't be surprised. Draw courage from the fact that Grace has met you has found you has included you. He's offered his life for you. So rejoice now. Rejoice in the powerful message of Christ. Let the powerful message of God's grace meet and comfort you and confront all the resistant parts in your life. So that he can transform you through and through by his love. And that's the prayer that I have for my own soul. That's a prayer that I have for my family for my wife, my daughter's my son. And that's a prayer that I have for you. up so
