Daily Radio Bible - October 23rd, 21

Aquila and Priscilla want to help Apollo's and they want to help us. They want to point us to our baptism into Christ. Apollo's only knew about the baptism of John, we're told. But Priscilla and Aquila point us to our baptism into Christ. The amazing and liberating news that God has reconciled us to himself and drawn us into his life. That our identity is found in him. That's what baptism signifies. And ours is not to strive to live up to some sort of holiness or perfection. Ours is to rest in our identity in Jesus, trusting in His perfection, in His Holiness, in his love. Now, he's included us. In His incarnation, he assumed humanity, all of humanity into himself, that we might participate in him in the life that he shares with the Father in the spirit. This is what Priscilla and Aquila invited Apollo's to discover.

And the prayer My heart is that I will rest in what Jesus has done, and find my strength and joy there. And that's a prayer that I have for my family for my wife, my daughters, my son. And that's a prayer that I have for you may be so
