JOHN sees a river called life. it's crystal clear he says, it reflects and radiate something that is true and beautiful, about the one who IS life itself. JOHN invites us to see with him what he has seen, to look into the crystal Waters of Life to behold the glory of God as in a mirror, and see God and ourselves as we truly are. Paul writes this in 2 Corinthians 3:18. But we all with unveiled face beholding as in a mere, the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image, from glory to glory.
JOHN wants us to see that that day is coming. When all the lies that have veiled God's true heart, his true nature from us, all the lies of separation that have plunged us and his creation into darkness, death and despair, will one day be no more. Those veils will be removed, and we will see, with unveiled face, the image of the invisible God, we will see the face of Jesus. And that vision of God will be the truest unveiling of who you are. You will discover what you had always hoped for. You will see the family resemblance, you'll see that you are a child of God, and that you are loved. JOHN sees a river. He says it's crystal clear, reflecting radiating, declaring the truest, most beautiful thing. It's reflection and its name is life.
We don't have to wait to begin to experience the unveiling. As we look into the face of Jesus now, through our readings in Scripture, as we meditate on his goodness, as we experienced him in creation, the veils can begin to be removed even now. So that we might be hold with greater clarity, day by day, who God is and who we are in him. That's the prayer that I have for my own soul. That's the prayer that I have for my family for my wife and my daughters and my son. And that's the prayer that I have for you. May it be so
You are loved!
