We struggle to see God his family. Sometimes we're more comfortable with the Omni God, the omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent God. Though helpful at times, these ideas have a way of putting God at a distance. objectifying him as some sort of philosophical puzzle or mathematical problem to be solved. But God has no distant philosophical mathematic problem to be figured out. No, God has come to reveal himself as family. Jesus says, He is father to all Christ is our brother. The spirit is our companion and friend, God desires for us to know Him to be drawn into his family life with the Father and the Spirit. Who are my mother and my brothers? He asked that he looked at the people sitting around him and said, Here they are. And Jesus is still looking at the people around him. And he's also looking at you and his responses the same. Here they are. Amen.
