Obey these commands without wavering. That's what Timothy says here at the end of this passage. What is the command we are to obey without wavering? our Lord did give us a command from which all other commands find their source. In john 3:34 he says this. So now, I'm giving you a new commandment. Love each other. Just as, I have loved you. So you should love each other. God's love toward us has been unwavering. It's on the basis of his unwavering love, that we can love others in fact we are commanded to.   Today let us root ourselves in the love of God, that we may bear the fruit of love in our relationship with others. That's the prayer that I have for my own soul. That's the prayer that I have for my family. And that's the prayer that I have for you. Amen.
