Journey Through Lent - Day 24

It appears Nicodemus has a question for Jesus in this late night encounter. So he comes right out and says, We all know that God has sent you to teach us. Well, what is the message from God? Is what he wants to know? What is it where to learn? What is got up to?

It appears from Jesus answer that God is about to birth, something new, a new humanity. God does this by sending us, his son, a new Adam, the second Adam, who comes to vicariously offer himself on behalf of the whole human race, in order that we might be found in him, that we might be reborn in him. 

And we must turn from the lies that keep us locked into our old academic life, and say yes, to what is happening right now with Jesus, we must wake up and turn to the one who is new life, and begin to live our lives in the reality of what he has achieved. In His incarnation, his life, death, resurrection, ascension, our real life is hidden there with him. And it is the spirit that does this.

And we must say yes to what the Spirit has done and begin to enter in to walk with him. Listen to these words, from 1 Corinthians 15. "For since by man came death, by man also came the resurrection from the dead. For as an Adam all die, even so in Christ, also be made alive."  And this from Romans chapter 5. "For as by one man's disobedience, many were made sinners. So also, by one man's obedience, many will be made righteous." 

Christ has reversed the curse of Adam and Nicodemus, in you and I, in every human being, can now be found born into him. Born again. We got to help us to see what God is up to. What it is that he's trying to teach. The Nicodemus is in the world, what he's trying to teach you and I, in this world, the good news that Christ has come to make us new
