TODAY'S EPISODE:
Welcome to today's episode of the Daily Radio Bible. It's March 22nd, 2025, and we're on day 81 of our journey through the Bible. I'm your host, Hunter, and I'm delighted to have you join us, whether this is your first day with us or you've been here from the start. Together, we're diving into the pages of Scripture, allowing them to direct our hearts toward the living word of God.
Today, we'll be delving into the book of Joshua, chapters 12 through 14, as well as 1 Corinthians chapter seven. We'll explore the conquests of the Israelites under Joshua's leadership, understand the allotment of lands, and delve into the wisdom shared by Paul regarding marriage and relationships.
Throughout this episode, we'll reflect on the nature of faith as exemplified by Caleb, who, even in his old age, remained unwavering in his faith and determination. We'll also take some time to engage in prayer, reminded of God's everlasting presence and love in our lives.
So, settle in as we embark on another enlightening journey through the Bible. Let the words of Scripture inspire and transform as we seek to navigate life through the lens of faith and love. Let's get started!
TODAY'S DEVOTION:
Unbelief looks at giants and backs away. Faith looks at the mountain that is God and says, give me that mountain. Give me God. Caleb saw how big God was, and the giants seemed small. Some of us have the gift of faith like Caleb, yet we can all grow in faith and cultivate our faith no matter how old we are. Paul says, faith comes from hearing, that is hearing the good news about Christ. The Bible helps to expand our imaginations so that we can begin to see more fully who we are. And this faith that God gives will enable us to take territory that God wants us to occupy in this life right now.
So come each day to his word, not because it's magic, but because the rehabilitation of our minds will take place as God begins to give us his vision for the world and for our very life. We'll begin to see things from his perspective. We'll begin to understand ourselves in the light of God's love, and this, my friend, will change everything. So don't let the years deplete your faith. Grow old like Caleb, growing in faith until the very end. And like Caleb, let us say, give me this mountain. I want the mountain that is God himself. Hallelujah. May that be so.
TODAY'S PRAYERS:
Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen.
Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. Bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
And now Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. And where there is sadness, Joy. Oh Lord grant that I might not seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in the giving that we receive, in the pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in the dying that we are born unto eternal life. Amen
And now as our Lord has taught us we are bold to pray...
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
Loving God, we give you thanks for restoring us in your image. And nourishing us with spiritual food, now send us forth as forgiven people, healed and renewed, that we may proclaim your love to the world, and continue in the risen life of Christ. Amen.
