 Blame-Free!

His message doesn’t come with a bunch of show or pretense.  He’s not trying to build his own name or his own following. He’s not trying to present himself as a great philosopher or a renowned debater.  He has a simple sincere and Spirit-empowered message.  It’s so contrary to what the world would expect.  So much so, that he calls it the foolish preaching of the cross.  He presents the simple, sincere, Spirit-empowered, foolish preaching of the Cross. 

That message is that God, in his great love, has offered his dearly loved Son to take the blame, the penalty, and the punishment for my sins and the sins of the world, so that I can live blame-free!  In  I Corinthians 1:8-9 it says:

He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns.  God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 

He says you will be blame free!  Blame can be a trap that we are held captive by.  There’s plenty of blame to go around.  We are all guilty and deserving of blame.  But the simple message of the Cross can set us free, and keep us free throughout our lives, until that day when God makes everything right.

Did you know that you’re blame-free?! It’s an amazing gift given to us! We’re told that Jesus will do this.  And he is faithful to do what he says.
