 It’s a Story of Life!

Today’s readings are Ezekiel 38 – 39 , Psalm 145, and Revelation 20.  We are reading from the New Living Translation.

Let’s get this story straight,. This is not the story of Gog and Magog.  This is not the story of a world in rebellion against God or a story of a great serpent who deceives nations and ends up in the lake of fire. That’s not the story of God.  The story of God is called the Book of Life – not judgement, fire or death.  The story we are invited into is called the story of life. Sometimes we can get the story wrong – when we see injustice in the world – when things aren’t the way we think they should be – when we experience pain at the hands of others – or even when the pain is self-inflicted.  We can get the story wrong.  But God is not writing a tragic hopeless story.  God is  writing a book of Life.  See it for what it truly is

David saw that.  Psalm 145:7 says,  

Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness; they will sing with joy about your righteousness.

God is writing stories of life in the Lamb’s Book of Life.  And we are invited to live in the pages of his good story, today.  Let’s get this story straight  It’s a story of a Lamb that gives life.
