TODAY'S DEVOTION:
Let us embrace the call to examine ourselves. The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Corinthians, beckons us to a profound spiritual practice—self-examination. We are invited to reflect on our lives and test the authenticity of our faith. This is not just a passive glance but an introspective journey into the core of our being. What do we find when we pause and truly look at our faith? Are we seeing the life of Christ at work within us? Are we participating in His saving and abiding presence in our lives and the world around us?
Paul's exhortation to the Corinthians is just as relevant to us today. He asks us to recognize that Christ resides within us, to see the evidence of His power and authority at work. This recognition is not meant to be burdensome, but instead serves as an invitation to celebrate the wondrous reality that our lives can be expressions of His divine love and power. We are called to be joyful, mature, and encouraging, living in harmony and peace—a reflection of the transformative presence of Christ within us.
As we take inventory of our spiritual journey, let us remember that the examination of our faith is a growing process—a journey that involves being vulnerable, honest, and willing to change. It is an invitation to align ourselves more closely with Jesus, opening our hearts to His work and allowing His love to permeate every aspect of our lives.
Embrace these words of guidance and let them illuminate your walk with Christ. Join in His work through you and me—let His living presence in us be the message we proclaim to the world. Let your evaluation of faith not merely be a day of thought but a lifetime of joyful discovery and commitment to His calling.
That's a prayer that I have for my own soul. That's a prayer that I have for my family, for my community, and that's a prayer that I have for each of you. May it be so.
TODAY'S PRAYERS:
Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen.
Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. Bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
And now Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. And where there is sadness, Joy. Oh Lord grant that I might not seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in the giving that we receive, in the pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in the dying that we are born unto eternal life. Amen
And now as our Lord has taught us we are bold to pray...
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not unto...
